Community Guidelines
What we expect from creators and members — plain-language summary of our trust and safety policies.
Bitecast is a place to share recipes, discover creators, and cook together. These guidelines summarize our content moderation policies. By using Bitecast you agree to follow them alongside our Terms of Use.
Be respectful
Treat other households and creators with respect. Do not harass, threaten, bully, or target others because of who they are. Cooking should feel welcoming — keep disagreements civil.
Share authentic cooking content
Recipes, photos, and videos you publish should represent real food you prepared or intend to prepare. Do not impersonate other creators, mislabel ingredients in ways that could cause harm, or spam repetitive or misleading content.
Keep it safe and lawful
Do not post content that is:
- Illegal or promotes illegal activity
- Sexually explicit or pornographic
- Violent, hateful, or that promotes self-harm
- Depicting weapons, drugs, or drug paraphernalia outside a legitimate cooking context
- Infringing someone else’s copyright or trademark
Cooking naturally involves knives, raw meat, and heat — that is expected. Content that crosses into prohibited categories may be held for review or removed.
Live broadcasting
Only vetted creators may go live. Live streams must follow these guidelines in real time. We may end a broadcast that violates policy. Apply for vetting in the app — do not attempt to bypass the review process.
Report problems
If you see content that violates these guidelines, report it in the app. We review reports and aim to act within a reasonable time. False or abusive reporting may be rate-limited.
Block and enforcement
You can block other users so their content no longer reaches you. We may hide, restrict, or remove content that violates policy. Repeat offenders may be suspended — their public catalog may be hidden and they may lose the ability to publish or go live. Creators whose content is actioned receive notice and may appeal when that workflow is available.
Copyright
Respect intellectual property. If you believe your work was used without permission, contact us through our support channels. We will process valid takedown requests in line with applicable law.
Children and sensitive content
Bitecast is not directed to children under 13. Do not post content that exploits or endangers minors. We treat child safety reports with the highest priority and comply with applicable legal obligations.
